
I believe there is a solution to every "problem."
I am solution focused and look at the individual as a complete human being with everything needed to be happy and successful right inside. I operate from a wellness model rather than a disease model. Being an adult means taking accountability for what does not benefit one under one’s own skin. I take a humanistic, cognitive approach focusing on skills grounded in mindfulness and self-observation. With new insights and skills, we can operate from love instead of fear, from the present moment instead of childhood belief systems, with compassion instead of defenses and blame.
My clients describe me as “one who cares” with “a direct approach.” With new skills and practices we can change in every single moment. Specializing in a non 12 step approach to addiction! My clients always say, “Why hasn’t anyone told me this before?” I guide clients to finally understand cause and effect: why they do what they do.
I incorporate principles of mindfulness, compassion, and living in the present moment into my therapy. Since I believe in cause and effect I empower you to see things realistically and provide you with all the skills to acknowledge and confront self-defeating behaviors, thinking and perceptions.
